Dislikes:when Kaiden makes him uncomfortable, when Kaiden makes him the butt of the joke, basically when Kaiden gets payback, watching chick flicks, going shopping, talking about “his feelings”, serious relationships (until he meets Miyuki).
Kazuki loves his practical jokes which means he is often in trouble with the school – though due to his charismatic charms he isn't in trouble for very long - despite this he is always smiling and joking around, trying to make everyone happy too. Although, some days he does take his education seriously; if something big is coming up that involves the school Kazuki is a totally different person to his casual carefree nature. Some people call him 'reckless' because he just sometimes doesn’t care or they think he is playing with fire but Kazuki values his chance at this school as the school is the only thing he has.
History:
Kazuki can't remember much about his past. He can't remember his mother or father or even if he had any brothers or sisters. One day when he was 8 he woke up not knowing anything except who he was.
The earliest memory Kazuki has is the first time he met Dana - an old lady that apparantly was 'a friend of the family' he couldn't remember - and she raised Kazuki for a while.
Kazuki was 8 when Dana came to him and he can't remember anything from the 8 years previous to her arrival. Dana took Kazuki in and he stayed with her until he was 12 when he decided he wanted to travel; he wanted to find someone who at least knew something about his family he had forgotten. Dana never spoke to him about his family and Kazuki never asked; he never had the courage to ask her. So he ran away in search of answers.
It was during his travelling he came across a very eccentric man named Darius - the people in the villages around thought he was a nut job but he was just liked everything around him (plants, air, water, fire etc). Kazuki stumbled accross Darius one morning and like all the others that had come accross him he thought he was a nut job; until he spoke to Kazuki and told him his own name even though Kazuki didn't give it. Darius then went on to tell Kazuki of how he doesn’t remember his family. Kazuki doesn’t know how Daruis knew about this, Daruis always said he could 'see' it, so he just put it down to him actually being a nut job.
Kazuki stayed with Daruis for a few years; Kazuki learnt that Daruis was as eccentric as he is due to the fact he was a genius, Daruis knew everything from literature to mathematics to quantum physics and Daruis taught Kazuki as much as Kazuki could learn. True Kazuki would never be smart enough to know quantum physics but he was smart in other ways, he was quick with mathematics and literature and everything else bar super smart Einstein stuff.
Kazuki stayed with Daruis for 5 years. When Daruis taught Kazuki as much as he could Daruis got him an application for Munkun Academy but Kazuki was reluctant to go as 1. He couldnt afford the fees and a scholarship would be very hard to get and 2. He still wanted to find out about his family. Daruis on the other hand had different ideas, he convinced Kazuki that he could be searching for answers for years and come across none and at least he would get something out of life if he went to Munkun Academy, he could get a good job and then find answers. So Kazuki was convinced and filled out all the necessary paperwork and applied for the scholarship and about 3 weeks before a test to find out if he was smart enough for a scholarship he and Daruis was attacked in his own home by local thugs that hated the “mad man”, Kazuki was able to fight them off but Daruis being far gone in his years wasn't as lucky and they took him away. Whether he was alive or dead was still a mystery for Kazuki.
Kazuki became very unhappy and considered forgetting everything and just continue travelling but as Daruis was the closest thing he had to a father he wanted to respect his wishes and studied hard for the test and when he passed the exam he thanked Daruis for believing in him enough.
Kazuki’s friest day at Munkun Academy was daunting, he told no one that he was a scholarship student as he knew they can be ignored and Kazuki wasn’t one for being ignored but he still stuck up for other scholarship students, he sort of became their bodyguard, if they had a problem they would go to Kazuki and he would help them out.
It didn’t take long for Kazuki to make friends. Daruis’s behaviour rubbed off on Kazuki and he was always smiling and laughing and joking and always made sure people were happy too. Because of Kazuki’s eccentric nature it amazed people how he and Kaiden could be such good friends as they were almost two different people. Kazuki has been friends with Kaiden since his first year at Munkun Accedemy. He’s now in his fourth year and it still surprises people that they are friends. Its Kaidens serious side Kazuki likes so much as Kaiden can easily be wound up and Kazuki can’t think of anything more funny than an irritated Kaiden.
