Asrai is a quiet girl, though with those she knows and trusts she can be very talkative and hyperactive. She enjoys reading and writing, though her main love is animals - she talks to her cat all the time, telling him her secrets and thoughts. Asrai can also be a very mischievous character, if she knows that a friend or relative his hiding something from her she is always asking questions and interrogating them, sometimes it works sometimes is doesn’t.
History:
Asrai's doesn’t know much about her birth parents as they both died in a car accident when she was three years old. She classes her adopted parents as her real parents as they were the ones that brought her up. Asrai’s life growing up was as normal as anybody’s life, except for the first three years she was in and out of homes until she was six when Morgana and Alfie Dartmoor adopted her permanently. When she was finally adopted into the Dartmoor family Asrai started to be happier, she now had an adopted brother, Joshua, who she could play with. Granted Joshua was a few years older than her but thankfully Joshua was a nice brother and always kept her involved in everything he did as she grew up so she didn’t feel alone like most adopted children did. As Asrai got older she forgot she was adopted and considered herself a Dartmoor child but she always refused to take the surname as she is an Ellyllon by blood and it’s the only thing of her parents she has left.
When Asrai was growing up she didn’t know how her parents died, she was only told that “they are in a better place now” or “they are at peace” until she turned 11 and Morgana and Alfie thought she was old enough to deal with how they died. According to what they know it was Asrai’s third birthday and the three of them were in a car and a drunk driver came out of nowhere and hit them and they tumbled down the hill and crashed into a tree, Asrai was the only survivor though she was just hanging on and was in hospital for a long time. Then she was put on the adoption register as she had no immediate family and was put through home after home, some pleasant, some not so pleasant.
As Asrai got older the more confident she became, though the thought of “being adopted” always still made her slightly cautious around people as she has learnt over the years some people understand and are nice about it whereas some are just horrible about it.
Asrai was a grade A student at school and she and her family were thrilled when she found out she was able to go to Munkun Academy as Joshua had started there a couple of years before. When she first started there she was a little shook up as she had never met many people and Joshua always made sure she was involved and he looked out for her. Asrai only made a couple of friends the first few years she was there but with the help of Joshua, her friends and a job at her favourite bookstore she started coming out of her shell a little more and by the time Joshua left she was almost a completely different person, though she still kept her feet on the ground and was cautious with people.
