Hakaru is pretty much a "zero" meaning he comes off as a cold hearted, no feelings, no sensitivity, no reactions at all, just some zombie person that breathes in the same air as everyone else. He is the complete perfect example of one who is anti-social, he doesn't talk, like at all, unless really annoyed or pushed to speak words. He is very quiet, and his social life is a "zero" or non-existent. He is as silent as a mouse, he can sneak behind people without them knowing, he is usually very watchful of his surroundings to where people aren't able to sneak up on him in return. He keeps to himself at all times, unless if without being avoided that his sister pops up and intrudes his moment of privacy, but she usually lets him be, everyone usually lets him be, he's not really a source of "fun interaction" he will just give you a death stare until you tremble and run away. His facial expressions is usually always the same which it to hold no expression at all, he doesn't let people read him, he "covers" up everything, he's pretty much a big mystery, even to his own family.

Hakaru had well "associates" that he talks with occasionally, the ones who led him down this road of misery, or well lets say pushed him off of a ledge that he was already standing to close to falling from. Then he fell, or has fallen, and now is down completely lost in the deep insanity of his own mind and existence trying to survive, avoiding the voices that tell him otherwise, that tell him to give up let himself be eaten by the beasts in the darkness. No, ignores them with the best of his ability though in his moments of vulnerability he lets himself get high and usually that takes away and numbs his feelings all together so he doesn't have to feel the pain anymore. He likes feeling nothing, he is somewhat of a masochist though, he can endure and take lots of pain and enjoys it when he really needs to feel it, but at other times when he doesn't want to feel anything at all he just lets himself get beat down until he's numb or take something that will cause numbness to spread. He likes the feeling of being able to "fly" as if there is no gravity at all, all until his consciousness goes out and he blacks out.

A few times actually he blacked out without even knowing he did and he wakes up somewhere else not sure how he even got there in the first place. He enjoys though living the "high" and free bird life, he loves being in near to death situations, bring him the rush of pure adrenaline he loves the feeling of his heart pumping fast and strong. A heart that survived this long after being born close to death he still stands near death, he can hear the man knocking at his door and whispering soft lullaby's in his ears to make him fall asleep, he eventually comes out of the state of being suicidal quickly, he doesn't let the 'uninvited" guest stay and occupy his sanctuary of thoughts for too long. He has nothing to live for really nor nothing to die for, so he is at a lose-lose route. His family doesn't see him or really care to see him, and his life is like a shattered glass, pieces of him broken and cracked and misplaced, his mind is a holy grail of his true identity though it's lost under chaos and empty unfulfilling thoughts of suicide. So where ever he is, it's lost and who ever he is, is confused and lonely and locked down by chains too strong for anyone to really break, and through it all where is that darn key to unlock the mysteries of his heart? Perhaps it lays buried right under the place he refuses to look.


^History:

October 31st, is when Hakaru Fuyumi was born. He was conceived as a bit of a surprise, Akahana and Kentaro had been far too busy having spoiling Scarlet to death to keep them from thinking about having another child. They were already ignoring the oldest son, Kaiden, though Kaiden was much older and was better off exploring on his own and such while little Scarlet still intended to need parental focus and such. But they weren't completely off focused from Kaiden, they still raised him to be a good son who happened to later be the first kid of their to run off to college. But when it came to Hakaru, there youngest son, he was conceived more so out of an accident rather than on purpose, just the use of a missing tool could have probably prevented it "A condom". Yet he was conceived and of course they were going to have the child, other options were out the window, they were great parents and they figured Scarlet could use a younger sibling to be closer too since Kaiden is so much older than her.

When Hakaru was born, he was not only premature but caused Akahana a lot of pain, she actually lost a lot of blood during the delivery and was having to stay in the hospital hooked up to machines for a bit longer than usual. Hakaru had his own fair share of problems to face, he was barely holding onto life and for a while doctors were sure there was no hope for him. But even with that Akahana and Kentaro still held their hope that their newborn baby would grow the strength and color in his face. Kaiden and Scarlet came up to visit little Hakaru of course they could only watch him through the glass and couldn't touch him. It was really sad and painful for the family, yet they pushed through the pain to keep strong for the baby's sake. Indeed with time Hakaru's body grew strength, it was a miracle of some sort, the doctor's said it themselves that Hakaru was a strong baby, with a determined heart supposedly. After a few more weeks though they finally got to take Hakaru home.

Hakaru was on watch by Akahana often because she knew he was still in risk of easily getting sick or catching and infection, and it was only through these times did she bring all of her focus to him. But as Hakaru grew stronger and such her interest or well focus in him seemed to shift and she paid more attention back to little old Scarlet, rather than Hakaru leaving him alone with his father mostly or sometimes Kaiden. When Hakaru had his first birthday, or took his first walks, even learning how to talk, was all supposed to be the special moments that a parent shares with their kids but Hakaru didn't seemed to get that enthusiastic feeling from his parents instead it as if they were too busy to notice he even existed, they only smiled and laughed occasionally and admired him from afar. Kaiden usually help take care of Hakaru more than they did as parents. This would be more effective in the future.

When Hakaru was a toddler and doing much more damage around the house, such as getting into everything or always climbing up on high funiture just to see if he could reach the top. Instead of handling it like the did with Scarlet and Kaiden, they were more defensive towards Hakaru and angry, they even yelled a few times, he was only a baby still, he didn't really understand or no better, it just seemed they had no patience for him. They were far too busy and distracted with wanting to get their family bakery open and running to raise little old Hakaru and such. Which is where Kaiden mostly came into use, he was much older and was able to watch over the two young kids while his parents did all the wondrous things they did. Kaiden became the more responsible as well the more over protective sibling over his others because of this. He even became more worried about Hakaru in particular seeing how he was being affected by the lack in responsibility or care their parents were taking. It was from this he could see they didn't really want to have another child at all, in fact they were still all wrapped around Scarlet than anything. Kaiden thought if he kept beside Hakaru and take care and watch after him, they would remain close and perhaps he could keep the young sibling out of trouble, but neither one held any truth.

As soon as Hakaru was a young pre-teen he started off in the bad crowd, hanging around those who were up to no good and had no self respect for themselves or anything or anyone else really, they were a bunch of loners who found fun through vandalism and occasionally stealing things. They even eventually got their hands on drugs and dragged Hakaru right into the middle of it. Hakaru didn't care about anything either, he was easily dragged down to their level of thinking and behaving and he became the "black sheep" in the family as well as the rebellious one right from the start. Akahana and Kentaro were confused to why Hakaru was being like this, they never stopped to think it could be from their own lack of support in raising him. Hakaru was more raised by his outside friends and society than his parents. He wasn't the "light in their eyes" no that was Scarlet, he was just a another person that is living in the house and fed off their money.

Hakaru turned to taking pills more so than just smoking like his pals did, he usually took heavy pain killers and such and just prescription things that he bought from other people such at parties and things. He was already drinking like he was an adult, and partying as if there wasn't tomorrow. It didn't help he lost his virginity to some high school girl when he was only in seventh grade, it's just because he easily can pass off for someone that is older. He became a pretty wild person, wanting to do just about everything there was to do with being the rebel. He slowly and surely slipped away from his "gang" that brought him into this world of hate and no love but just being depressed and emo-like, and just became his own self independent gang that consisted of him, his weed or pills and a alcohol, he didn't think things could get any worst.

Hakaru usually started getting blamed for everything around the house and he became the magnet for everyone to go to when they were angry and wanted to rant to someone, he was their target, as if that was all he was good for in their family, the person to point fingers at and blame for their problems. Hakaru just drowned it out and to take out his own built up anger he started taking martial art classes, ranging from kendo to actual physical training which his mind, body, and soul. He enjoys it really, it's a way to let lose of all the pain buried down deep, also it keeps him from having to latch it out on anyone else, like he had almost came close to doing many times before. He learned how to control his anger through martial arts and he learned meditation and ways to relieve his mind of troubles. He owes it mostly all to his mentor, it was also him that convinced him to stay off and away from drugs. He agreed to come clean just so the man wouldn't stop teaching him, though even he doesn't smoke weed or cigarettes he still takes tons of sleeping pills to help with his insomnia issues.
